Tree Emergency Services

Blog

If you own your home, then you should keep in mind that there are emergency tree services that will come right out to help you if you have an emergency due to a tree on your property. It's also a good idea for you to learn more about what constitutes a tree emergency, so you recognize the times when you should make that call. Here's more on tree emergencies:

A tree was struck by lightning

A tree in your yard may have been struck by lightning. It happens more often than you may think. The tree may be burned and even have cracked areas where large branches are at risk of falling. You should have someone come out right away to remove the tree, so it doesn't end up causing damage to your home, or even worse, cause someone to be hurt.

A tree branch is at risk of falling

Tree branches can end up breaking off and falling for a lot of reasons. Two common reasons are wind and snow. With the wind, you likely won't have much warning, and you will find out about the issue when the branch comes crashing down. However, you may have some warning if it is the weight of snow causing the problem. If you see that the branch looks as if it is being weighed down and especially if you are starting to hear cracking sounds, you want to have someone come out right away to take care of the tree. While you may be able to carefully remove the snow this time, it's only going to continue to happen, so you need to make that call right away.

Your tree is leaning

If you have a tree that's leaning, and you can see the roots pushing the soil up on the far side, then you need someone to come out right away. The tree is at risk of falling and when it comes down, it can cause a lot of damage. If it is a very large tree, then you may want to take precautions while you wait for someone to come out to help you with the tree. Move anything that would be in the way of the tree, carefully. Also, if the tree is a threat to a part of the house, then you may want to wait somewhere else, or stay to a far side of the house that's far from where the tree would fall.
